The district ranks 6th of 115 Colorado districts with a 5-star rating, and its elementary schools outperform state averages by roughly 20 points in both ELA (63.8% vs. 44.7%) and math (57.2% vs. 37.3%). Parker Core Knowledge leads the district at 8th statewide with 89.8% ELA and 85.2% math proficiency plus just 4.2% chronic absenteeism. Eldorado Elementary is the fastest riser, jumping from 86th to 9th statewide, while Stone Mountain Elementary ranks 12th with the lowest poverty rate (3.5% free/reduced lunch) and 81.5% science proficiency. Platte River Charter Academy (18th) and Gold Rush Elementary (22nd) round out the top five.

Charter and choice schools dominate the top tier - Parker Core Knowledge, Platte River Charter Academy, and Challenge to Excellence Charter School (30th) - but traditional schools like Eldorado Elementary, Stone Mountain Elementary, Gold Rush Elementary, Redstone Elementary (23rd), and Heritage Elementary (28th) prove strong performance is not limited to charters. American Academy, the district's largest school at 2,803 students, ranks 85th statewide with 71.5% ELA proficiency and just 6.3% chronic absenteeism. Attendance is a clear strength: 14 schools post chronic absenteeism below 10%, led by Parker Core Knowledge (4.2%) and Stone Mountain Elementary (4.5%).

The clearest barriers to achievement are poverty and absenteeism. Sedalia Elementary has the district's highest poverty rate (58.5% free/reduced lunch) and highest chronic absenteeism (27.5%), ranking 520th statewide, while South Ridge Elementary (53.1% free/reduced lunch) ranks 506th. Yet Pine Lane Elementary defies expectations: with 32.4% free/reduced lunch and 24.7% chronic absenteeism, it still ranks in the 74th percentile and matches the district average in math. Math is the district's relative weakness - Fox Creek Elementary posts 70.7% ELA but just 53.9% math - while science is an underappreciated differentiator led by Eldorado Elementary (85.2%), Stone Mountain Elementary (81.5%), and Gold Rush Elementary (77.4%).
