Open Quote RUN to this school with open arms!!!!
This is an amazing school with a true family feel. The principal, assistant principal and several staff members greet each child (scholar) personally every morning. It's such a great way for them to start the day, plus it builds a rapport with the between staff and scholars.
They don't have Common Core - yay!!!
They have technology available, but use it as an enhancement, not a daily occurrence.
They partner with parents, believe in family time, no homework on the weekends.
They are a classical school - focusing on history, Latin, and the Socratic method of teaching, which is getting the children to think critically, versus teaching to a test.
I can't say enough great things about the Principal, Dr. Edwards. He is a loving but firm Principal who knows each child, wears crazy hats in driveline and plays a guitalele in the hallways.
PLEASE give your child the best opportunity, not only in education, but in CHARACTER. Every month they focus on a new virtue or character trait and respect is a priority. Close Quote
