The school serves a diverse community that includes many military-connected families, and 63.14% of students qualified for free or reduced-price lunch in 2024–25. Although it is part of the 2-star Clover Park School District, Harrison Prep earned 4 stars and ranked 53rd out of 396 Washington schools, placing it in the 87th percentile statewide.

Harrison Prep is one of the strongest schools in the Lakewood area. Its latest results were 55.82% proficient in English language arts, 38.24% in math, and 49.47% in science—well above the district average in every subject. It also compares favorably with nearby schools: its math performance ranks second among the listed local schools, behind only Steilacoom High, and it substantially exceeds Lakes High School and Clover Park High School in math. Harrison is also close to Industrial Design Engineering and Arts in ELA, though that school is stronger in science. The main area for improvement is middle-grade achievement, especially seventh- and eighth-grade math and eighth-grade science. Because Harrison includes grades 6–8, its results are not perfectly comparable with nearby schools serving only grades 9–12.

Two years ago we removed our son from Steilacoom School District and enrolled him at HP. He was being horribly bullied year after year, and the Middle School failed to handle the bullies and protect our son. HP has been a sort of haven for him. I can't say it's totally "bully free" per say, but they do their best to keep order and enforce their "bully free" policy. They offer an after school program, HPX, to help kids get caught up on missing work and receive more help in areas they're struggling in, and the Computer Clubhouse is cool. Over all its been a good experience for him and we wish we had known about the school sooner. Close Quote
