The Nine Mile Falls School District is ranked 23rd out of 238 Washington districts, placing it in the state’s 90th percentile. Lakeside itself ranks 139th out of 514 Washington middle schools, in the 73rd percentile, making it a solid upper-tier school statewide.

Lakeside’s 2025–2026 assessment results were above Washington averages in every reported subject: 55.37% in ELA, 50.65% in math, and 56.88% in science. Science is the school’s clearest comparative strength; its result was higher than those of nearby Northwood Middle School, Mountainside Middle School, Deer Park Middle School, and Highland Middle School.
