My son is a junior in high school and has attended Summit Academy schools since first grade. Academically, the school seems to be average. What is NOT average is the very low student to teacher ratio and the incredible attention and care the teachers pay to the students. The student population is smaller (about 100 students per grade?) so compared to my 10th grade stepdaughter's much larger public school, bullying at Summit Academy is virtually nonexistent or mild at worst. They kids all seem to know each other and have more respect. The homework load is completely manageable and I've been shocked that year after year, the teachers are all approachable and bend over backwards to support the students in their learning. My son is mentally and emotionally healthy, feels great about himself and his abilities and inclusion at school, and isn't training to fall into the anxiety patterns that a lot of people do as adults. I appreciate the school's communication and willingness to be influenced by and support parent involvement as well. Close Quote
