Portage High School is a large public high school in Portage, Indiana, serving grades 9–12 in Portage Township Schools, with 2,163 students. It is the largest school in the nearby comparison set. In 2025–2026 it ranked 265/415 (36th percentile, 2 stars), up from 305/432 (29th percentile, 1 star) in 2023–2024—its best recent standing since 2018–2019. Its 2024–2025 graduation rate was 94.4%, above the state’s 89.7%, but chronic absenteeism was 27.3% versus the state’s 16.7%.
