Palmyra-Eagle Middle is a small public school in Palmyra, Wisconsin, serving roughly 96 students in grades 6 through 8 as part of the Palmyra-Eagle Area School District. Its recent history shows a sharp swing: after reaching the 74th percentile with 4 stars in 2023–24, the school fell to the 29th percentile with 1 star in 2025–26 — a drop of about 45 percentile points in two years. School boards main concern is to keep taxes low, VERY VERY indifferent about the quality of the educational programming the students receive. Given the recent political changes, almost 30 percent of the staff have either retired or found teaching positions elsewhere. I doubt the district will survive 5 more years Close Quote
