The city of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin is served by 10 schools — six elementary, two middle, one high school, and one alternative K–12 school — enrolling 5,686 students in the Lake Country area west of Milwaukee. The Oconomowoc Area School District operates seven of them, while the Stone Bank School District, Lake Country Classical Academy Inc, and Adeline Montessori School Inc each oversee one. Both the Oconomowoc Area district (36 of 432, 92nd percentile) and Stone Bank (12 of 432, 97th percentile) rank in the state's top tier, and most schools here post proficiency results above state averages.

Stone Bank Elementary is the top-ranked school in the area at 19 of 1,039 (98th percentile, 5 stars), with the highest per-student spending ($16,910) and a low 11.8 student-teacher ratio. Among OASD schools, Silver Lake Intermediate leads the middle level at 33 of 643 (95th percentile) and outranks Nature Hill Intermediate (84 of 643, 87th percentile) in most subjects. At the elementary level, Park Lawn Elementary, Greenland Elementary, and Summit Elementary all land in the 96th–97th percentile; Park Lawn and Greenland carry the district's highest free/reduced lunch rates (20.89% and 20.53%) yet still rank at the 97th percentile.

Oconomowoc High graduates 97.3% of students (state: 92.0%) with a 0.5% dropout rate and above-state ACT scores, but chronic absenteeism of 19.4% exceeds both the district's 11.5% and the state's 17.3%. Lake Country Classical Academy Inc posts strong ACT and social studies results and 5.9% chronic absenteeism, yet its 81.2% graduation rate trails the state; its reported student-teacher ratio of 56,200 appears to be a data error and should be excluded from comparisons.
