Klahowya Secondary is a public school in Silverdale, Washington, serving 1,016 students in grades 6–12 in the Central Kitsap School District, a generally strong district in a suburban Kitsap County community.

Klahowya ranks 75th out of 396 Washington schools, placing it in the 81st percentile, and its performance has been consistently strong in recent years. Its latest ELA proficiency was 59.75%, above both the district’s 57.46% and the state’s 52.81%. Science was another strength at 58.18%, compared with 50.95% statewide. Graduation was 86.9%, higher than the district’s 84.5% and Washington’s 82.6%, while the dropout rate was a favorable 4.3%. The school also showed especially strong effectiveness for low-income students, ranking in the 88th statewide percentile for that subgroup.

Math is the clearest area for improvement. Only 36.76% of students met proficiency, below both district and state results, and middle-school math was particularly weak. By comparison, North Kitsap High School currently ranks higher and leads Klahowya in ELA, math, science, graduation, and dropout results. Klahowya nevertheless ranks above Olympic High School, Central Kitsap High School, South Kitsap High School, and Bremerton High School in the latest statewide ranking. Because Klahowya includes grades 6–8, comparisons with high schools serving only grades 9–12 should be viewed cautiously. Its recent graduation decline—from 92.2% in 2021–22 to 86.9% in 2024–25—also merits attention.
