As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I love this school. It is located in the up and coming Hoke county! They are building new hospitals in the area. So many job openings. My kids love this school. I have a graduate from this school who is now in West Point. My daughter who also graduated from here is in her second year of Harvard University. I am so lucky to live here!!! Close Quote

Open Quote The school superintendent can care less about the children’s education and more about the athletics (football tm.) Some teachers dressing inappropriately, drugs being sold all over campus. Kids really vulnerable at Hoke High. What’s the purpose of Student Handbooks when the facilitators don’t abide by them? The news media needs to go out their and just see and show what our children have to deal with. I believe that we as parents/taxpayers deserve to be heard. When was the last time Hoke High has been tested, that is the teachers? Are they competent enough to really teach our children or is it just another paycheck. Time to focus on education and not athleticism. Moving to the area? Avoid Hoke County like the plague No AP courses, drugs sold by gangs in the bathrooms, counselors that could care less about student development, and the smallest class variety I have ever seen. My child has had their future put into jeopardy by this pathetic excuse for a school....they should just close the doors and start over somewhere else....please, if you are military and moving into the Bragg footprint, DO THE RESEARCH!!!! Hope Mills or even 71st is a better choice, I do not recommend this to anyone but the state licensing board for closure...it is that bad! I have had to pull my child out and home school them. They will complete HS before summer and will start collage this summer. The people of Hoke County should replace the school superintendant ASAP. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
