Summary:

Schaumburg CCSD 54 has 27 schools—22 elementary and five middle schools—with 2025–26 all-grades averages of 68% in English language arts (ELA) and 55% in math, compared with state figures of 56% and 40%. The averages are strong overall, but they conceal a wide gap between schools: the highest and lowest results differ by 38 points in ELA and 45 points in math. The most important finding is that performance across the area is not uniform.

Thomas Dooley Elementary stands out at the top, with 90% ELA and 83% math—the highest reported results in both subjects—and a 97th-percentile statewide ranking from SchoolDigger. Its scores are 33 points above the state in ELA and 43 points above it in math. At the other end, Lakeview Elementary has the lowest results in both subjects: 52% ELA and 38% math, below state figures by 4 and 1 points, respectively. Campanelli Elementary is another strong performer, ranking second in all-grades math at 69%. In 8th grade, Lincoln Prairie School leads the reported results in ELA, math, and science, with 91%, 61%, and 85%; it serves K–8, so its all-grades results are not directly comparable with schools serving narrower grade spans.

Results have shifted differently by subject: the area’s average ELA rose by about 1 point from 2024–25 to 2025–26, while math was essentially flat; state averages rose by 3 points in ELA and 1 in math. By contrast, the 5th-grade science average climbed 9 points, to 57%, and its lead over the state grew from 6 to 9 points. SchoolDigger’s statewide percentile histories also fell at many schools, including Lakeview (69th to 38th), while Dooley rose from 96th to 97th. The reported low-income measure is free/reduced lunch eligible for 2021–22: 4% at Dooley, 7% at Lincoln Prairie, and about 42% at both Anne Fox and John Muir Literacy Academy. These are context figures, not explanations for school results; for example, Anne Fox has the lowest reported student–teacher ratio, 7.9, but is not among the academic leaders.
