Summary:
ZIP code 60194 has five schools: three elementary schools serving kindergarten through grade 6, one junior high serving grades 6–8, and one high school serving grades 9–12. The latest reported test results are for SY 2025–2026. Results vary notably among the elementary schools, especially in grade-5 science; the clearest overall finding is that Hoover Math and Science Academy leads the elementary schools, while Elizabeth Blackwell Elementary School has the lowest results in each of the three reported elementary comparisons.
Hoover had 75% proficient in all-grades ELA and 64% in math, compared with 60% and 48% at Blackwell—gaps of 14 and 17 points. In grade-5 science, Hoover’s 68% was 24 points above Blackwell’s 44%; Blackwell was the only elementary school below the state in that subject. Helen Keller Junior High School had the highest reported all-grades ELA result, 79%, and scored 60% in math. Schaumburg High School also exceeded state results on grade-11 ACT measures, with advantages of 11 points in ELA, 21 in math, and 15 in science.
Elementary IAR averages lost ground against the state: the average ELA lead narrowed from 15 points to 11, and the math lead from 17 to 15 between SY 2024–2025 and SY 2025–2026. Science moved the other way: Hoover rose 13 points and Enders-Salk Elementary School rose 25, while Blackwell changed little and remained below the state. Schaumburg High’s grade-11 ACT results improved in all three subjects, although its grade-9 and grade-10 PreACT trends were mixed. SchoolDigger’s ranking percentile fell 18 points each for Enders-Salk and Blackwell over the three reported years, stayed at 85 for Keller, and fell 6 for Hoover. Contextual measures do not sort neatly with results: Blackwell had the lowest student–teacher ratio, 10.0, while Hoover’s was 12.4; the four K–8 schools reported free/reduced lunch eligible figures for SY 2021–2022 ranging from 13% at Hoover to 28% at Enders-Salk.
