Summary:

Redlands Unified includes 25 schools: 16 elementary, four middle, four comprehensive high schools and one alternative school, serving students from elementary through high-school grades. In 2025–26, the average across schools was about 51% in ELA, 38% in math and 34% in science, compared with state figures of about 49%, 38% and 36%. The most important finding for families is how much results vary from one school to another, especially among elementary schools.

Kimberly Elementary led elementary schools in ELA and math, at 72% and 64%; Mariposa Elementary led in science at 51%. At the other end, Lugonia Elementary had the lowest elementary ELA and math results, 29% and 14%, while Franklin Elementary was lowest in science at 18%. The best-to-lowest elementary gaps were 43 points in ELA, 50 in math and 32 in science. Among middle schools, Cope Middle led in ELA and math, while Clement Middle was lowest in all three subjects. Redlands Senior High led comprehensive high schools in ELA and science; Redlands East Valley High led in math. Orangewood High (Continuation) had the lowest scores across the full list: 26% ELA, 1% math and 14% science.

From 2024–25 to 2025–26, average ELA improved by about 1 point per school, while math declined by about 1 point and science was nearly flat; math and science fell farther behind the state comparison. Individual schools moved differently: Kimberly gained 14 points in ELA, while Redlands eAcademy gained 9 points in science but dropped 15 points in math. SchoolDigger’s 2025–26 rankings place Kimberly at the 86th percentile and Mariposa at the 85th; Franklin and Orangewood are each at the 20th percentile. Income figures offer context, not an explanation: in 2024–25, free/reduced lunch eligible shares were 37% at Kimberly and 34% at Mariposa, compared with 84% at Franklin and 84% at Lugonia; there are exceptions, including Arroyo Verde Elementary, which scored above state in all three subjects with 59% eligible.
