Summary:
Redlands has 24 schools—10 elementary, three middle, five high and six alternative schools—offering options across elementary, middle and high school grades. For 20 schools with 2025–26 test scores, the average was 52% proficient in English language arts (ELA), 37% in math and 35% in science, compared with California’s 49%, 38% and 36%. Results vary sharply from school to school, especially in math: the gap between the highest- and lowest-scoring schools was 63 percentage points, making that unevenness the most important finding for families comparing schools.
Kimberly Elementary led ELA and math, with 72% and 64% proficient—22 and 26 points above the state, respectively. Mariposa Elementary led science at 51%, 15 points above California. At the other end, Orangewood High (Continuation) scored 26% in ELA, 1% in math and 14% in science—23, 37 and 22 points below state results. The middle-school math pattern is also worth noting: Cope Middle, Moore Middle and Clement Middle all scored below the state in 2025–26.
Across the same 20 schools, average ELA results improved by about 1 point from 2024–25 to 2025–26, while math was essentially flat and science fell by about 1 point; ELA’s lead over the state grew to 3 points, while math and science moved below state averages. Individual schools show different paths: Kimberly gained 14 points in ELA and 10 in math, while Redlands eAcademy fell 15 points in science. SchoolDigger placed Kimberly at the 86th percentile and Mariposa at the 85th among elementary schools in 2025–26, compared with the 20th percentile for Franklin Elementary. As context, 2024–25 free/reduced lunch eligible figures were 37% at Kimberly and 34% at Mariposa, versus 84% at Franklin; these figures describe school context, not the cause of test results. Four schools have scores only from 2024–25, so they are not part of the year-to-year comparison.
