Summary:

The 38 schools in Corona include 24 elementary schools, five middle schools, six high schools and three alternative schools, and they span several districts. In 2025–2026 All Grades results, 20 schools were above the state in ELA, compared with 19 in math and 15 in science. The clearest overall takeaway is how uneven results are: among schools reporting grade 5 scores, the top-to-bottom spread was 62 percentage points in ELA, 65 points in math and 56 points in science.

Temescal Valley Elementary led grade 5 in all three subjects, with 81% in ELA, 68% in math and 62% in science; it was about 32, 31 and 27 points above state results, respectively. At the other end, Jefferson Elementary scored 20% in ELA, 3% in math and 6% in science—about 29, 34 and 29 points below the state. Sixth grade is another bright spot: Letha Raney Intermediate led the listed grade 6 results with 92% in ELA and 83% in math, about 44 and 45 points above state results. In grade 11, Santiago High led ELA at 71%, while Scale Leadership Academy - East led math and science at 42% and 53%. By contrast, Orange Grove High scored 2% in ELA and 0% in math and science.

Across 2024–2025 to 2025–2026, the average school’s All Grades result rose by less than a point in ELA and about a point each in math and science; state science results rose about 3 points. Individual changes were larger: Excelsior Charter School Corona-Norco gained 11 points in ELA and 14 in science, while Vicentia Elementary fell 20 points in science. SchoolDigger’s statewide percentile rose from 54 to 69 for Foothill Elementary, while it fell from 24 to 7 for Jefferson and from 61 to 46 for Luiseno. As context, the reported measure was free/reduced lunch eligible for 2024–2025: 64% at Temescal Valley and 94% at Jefferson. Chronic absenteeism was 75% at Orange Grove and 70% at Lee V. Pollard High, compared with 18% statewide.
