Garretson Elementary serves 859 students in grades K–6 in Corona, making it the largest of 11 nearby elementary schools in this comparison. Its clearest academic concern is English language arts (ELA), especially in grades 3 and 4: proficiency was 37% and 40%, compared with 57% and 59% in grades 5 and 6. That unevenness across grades is the most important finding for families.
