Summary:

ZIP code 92879 has eight schools: seven elementary schools and one high school, in Corona-Norco Unified and Alvord Unified. The elementary schools’ 2025–26 results are mixed, with the group averaging close to the state in math but below it in ELA and science. The most important finding for families is how sharply results differ between elementary schools: the highest-to-lowest gaps are 40 percentage points in ELA, 39 in math and 27 in science.

Lincoln Fundamental Elementary leads elementary ELA and math, with 68% and 54% proficient; those rates are 19 and 15 points above the state, respectively. Promenade Elementary leads science at 45%, 9 points above the state, and is above the state in all three subjects. At the other end, Parkridge Elementary has the lowest elementary results in every subject—28% ELA, 15% math and 18% science—and is 21, 23 and 18 points below state rates. SchoolDigger ranks Lincoln at the 79th statewide percentile among these elementary schools and Parkridge at the 13th. Lee V. Pollard High also stands out: its proficiency is far below state rates, while its 91% graduation rate is above the state’s 88%; chronic absenteeism is 70%, compared with 18% statewide.

Recent elementary changes are mixed: the seven-school average fell 1 percentage point in ELA, rose 2 in math and fell 3 in science from 2024–25 to 2025–26. State science proficiency rose 3 points over the same period, so the elementary group moved 6 points farther below the state in science. SchoolDigger’s statewide percentile ranking rose 7 points for Promenade and 4 for Lincoln from 2023–24 to 2025–26, while Pollard’s fell 15 points. Reported free/reduced lunch eligible shares in sy 2024–2025 were 74% at Promenade and 68% at Lincoln; these figures provide context, not an explanation for results. Student-teacher ratios also differ: Lincoln’s is 26.9, compared with 21.8 at Parkridge, despite their contrasting achievement results.
