Summary

Vancouver iTech Preparatory is a public 6-12 school serving about 600 students in Vancouver, WA, and stands out as a consistently high-performing school within the broader Vancouver School District.

The school's academic results are a key strength, with proficiency rates in English, math, and science that are significantly higher than the district average and often meet or beat the state average. A particularly notable achievement is its exceptional performance with students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, ranking in the 91st percentile statewide in this category for the current year. iTech also achieves these strong outcomes efficiently, spending less per student than several nearby high schools like Columbia River High.

When compared to other local schools, iTech's consistent top-tier ranking is impressive. It outperforms same-district peers like Skyview High School and holds its own against schools in higher-ranked districts, such as Hockinson High School, despite serving a student population with greater economic need. While there is room for growth in mathematics proficiency, Vancouver iTech Preparatory demonstrates a successful model that delivers reliable, high-quality education for its community.

Open Quote I've been at iTech since 6th grade, and will continue to stay at iTech until I graduate in 12th grade. I wouldn't want it any other way. This school is fantastic- the students, the staff, the teachers. Everybody aims to lift each other up and provide the best experience possible for the students. While mainly STEM-focused, iTech doesn't ignore other important aspects of education like the arts. The projects are all amazing, plus iTech has an awesome Robotics club program too! Every year here is more fun than the last, and whether now or in the future I will be proud to say that I am an iTech Raven. Close Quote

Open Quote I Tech Prep middle school has been an unbelievable experience for my son. He has had a very tough year as an incoming 8th grader and yet I've been impressed over and over by the administration and ESPECIALLY Rita Arden, the school counselor, for her watchful eye, listening ear and real love for the kids. They want the best for these kids and I believe that they do their best to make it a positive and rewarding experience no matter what your child might be going through. I'd like to applaud them on their continued support and the outstanding educators here. I would highly recommend this school if your child is interested in science and technology and can work in group settings as there are lots of team assignments. Close Quote
