Evergreen High School is a large public school serving grades 9–12 in Vancouver’s Clark County area, with 1,427 students in the Evergreen School District (Clark). The school had a 20.1 student–teacher ratio in 2024–25, and 50.6% of students qualified for free or reduced-price lunch. Its statewide ranking was at the 14th percentile in 2025–26, a substantial decline from the 55th percentile in 2014–15.

Academic performance is the school’s main concern, especially in math. In 2025–26, proficiency was 34.98% in English Language Arts, 16.08% in math, and 32.5% in science. Math proficiency has remained below 22% for four consecutive reported years, placing Evergreen High School well below district and state averages and below nearby traditional high schools. English and science also declined after stronger 2024–25 results. Smaller or specialized schools such as Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School can offer useful ideas, but are not perfectly comparable to this comprehensive high school.
