Mountain View High School is a public grades 9–12 school in Vancouver, Washington, serving 1,523 students in the Evergreen School District (Clark), a large and varied suburban district in the Vancouver area.

Mountain View is a mid-performing comprehensive high school with a recent but still modest improvement in statewide standing: it ranks 240th of 396 Washington high schools, at the 39th percentile. Its strongest feature is graduation: 92.4% of students graduated in 2024–25, well above the 82.6% state rate, while the dropout rate was 5.9%, below the state’s 9.8%. Academic results are more mixed. English language arts proficiency was 49.65%, above the district’s 40.55% but slightly below the state’s 52.81%. Math is the clearest concern, with only 27.21% proficient, compared with 33.45% in the district and 43.11% statewide. Science was a relative bright spot at 43.2%, modestly above the district but below the state.

Compared with nearby schools, Mountain View generally falls between higher-performing Union High School and Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School, and lower-performing Evergreen High School. Union has stronger graduation, ELA, and math results, while Henrietta Lacks is especially strong in science. Mountain View outperforms Evergreen in most reported measures. Discovery High School posts much higher results but is a smaller, specialized school in the Camas district and is not a direct comparison. Parents may also want to note the recent ELA decline, persistent math weakness, and uneven outcomes among student groups, particularly students from low-income backgrounds.
