The city of Sandy, Utah is home to a diverse array of 30 schools, including 19 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, and 5 high schools, all part of the Canyons District. The district is ranked 34 out of 93 in Utah and has a 3-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Several schools in Sandy stand out for their exceptional academic performance. Peruvian Park School, Willow Canyon School, and Granite School are all ranked among the top 20 elementary schools in Utah, with over 65% of students proficient or better in math, science, and English language arts. Albion Middle is also a high-performing school, ranking 8th out of 182 Utah middle schools.

However, the data also reveals significant performance gaps between schools. While some institutions excel, others, such as Midvale Middle and Sandy School, struggle with proficiency rates well below the district and state averages.
