Open Quote South Kingstown High School is a relatively average school; its lunches are acceptable, as are the various classes and teachers. However, the homework load is far too much to handle at times. It leaves students such as myself with feelings of stress and unhappiness. The digital portfolio students have to upkeep is also a hassle. Many assignments have to be recorded and looked over Online by teachers, who are to comment and look over summaries describing the assignment. The teachers are not always available though, and things can easily go wrong here; disorganization is abundant. It would be much simpler if the portfolio was not a requirement for graduation. About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
