It currently ranks 57th of 271 Oregon high schools (79th percentile, 4 stars) and is clearly the higher-performing of its district's two comprehensive high schools.

Its four-year graduation rate of 95.1% is the best in the comparison group and more than 12 points above both the district (82.8%) and state (83.0%) rates — ahead of Crescent Valley High School (94.1%), Philomath High School (93.5%), Corvallis High School (88.2%), Lebanon High School (87.8%) and South Albany High School (83.9%). Chronic absenteeism, at 29.4%, is the lowest nearby, well below the district's 34.8% and far below South Albany's 47.6%. On 11th-grade state tests, English language arts proficiency is 68.4% (district 54.6%, state 46.0%) and science 43.2% (district 28.9%, state 33.8%). Math, at 30.2%, is the school's relatively weakest subject but still beats the district (18.4%) and state (22.9%) at grade 11. Every reported student subgroup ranks at or above the 59th percentile.

The school achieves this with less money than most neighbors: per-student spending is $18,446, below Corvallis, Crescent Valley, Philomath, Lebanon and Jefferson High School, while its student–teacher ratio of 23.2 is among the highest in the group. It also serves a much higher share of students from low-income families (78.3% free/reduced lunch) than Corvallis and Crescent Valley (about 58% each), yet ranks essentially level with them. One trend to watch: after reaching the 94th percentile in 2023–24, the school slipped to 91st and then 79th, with declines across most subgroups — though graduation and attendance held steady, suggesting a cohort fluctuation rather than a systemic decline.
