Compared with nearby schools, the graduation rate beats Collinwood High School (50.0%), Glenville High School (48.9%) and Shaw High School (87.0%), and is close to Brush High School (94.4%), though it trails Shaker Hts High School (98.0%) and Beachwood High School (100.0%). Test scores in 2025–2026 are below state averages in all six end-of-course subjects, with the largest gaps in Biology, Geometry and English II. Cleveland Heights High offers more AP classes than any other HS in the region. Graduates have gone on to Harvard, Yale, Case, Indiana University, etc. This of course is only part of the story. About half the students are eligible for free meals, which is an indication of low income; other students range from middle class on upward. Some are motivated, some aren't. The teaching is superb. You will get as good an education as you desire at the Heights. It is UP TO YOU. Close Quote
