Open Quote KIP is one of, if not the best Pre-k program in Louisville. It is structured around core learning goals that build each year. Their threes program is teaching phonetics and number identification, and my own three year old is able to sound out and decode basic three to four letter words thanks to the rigor of KIP, but he would not tell you it's hard. He would tell you he loves that they have the Tumble Bus, a shaded playground, and music and art. On Thursdays he comes home and tells us what he learned in Spanish, and on Wednesdays he stays for piano lessons. They offer so much. There are about ten students in his class, so he gets plenty of attention. What they do best is teach the kids the social skills they need to get along with others and share. His three-year-old classmates are taught to care for and look out for each other. Of course, we are supportive at home, but we give KIP a lot of credit. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
