Bryan Station Middle School serves 744 students in grades 6–8 in Fayette County, Lexington. Its clearest academic pattern is a split: eighth-grade writing is a standout, while seventh-grade science and math are the most concerning results.

Writing is a particular strength compared with nearby schools, the district and the state: 55% of eighth graders were proficient, versus 45% at nearby schools on average, 49% districtwide and 48% statewide. Eighth-grade social studies and editing and mechanics were also above state results, at 48% versus 39% in social studies and 49% versus 42% in editing and mechanics.
