Wellington High School serves 463 students in grades 9–12 in Wellington, Kansas. Its latest results show broad academic challenges: students’ proficiency rates were 25% in English language arts, 19% in math, and 24% in science. Among seven nearby schools, Wellington ranked second-lowest in all three subjects, ahead only of Belle Plaine High. The most important finding is that low proficiency is not limited to one subject, with math the clearest concern.
