West Vigo High School is a grades 9–12 school of 531 students in West Terre Haute, Indiana, part of the Vigo County School Corp, and the smallest of the district's three comprehensive high schools. It currently ranks 293rd of 415 Indiana high schools (29th percentile, 1 star), and about half its students (51.8%) qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.

Graduation is the school's standout strength: 93.6% in 2024-25, above the district's 83.9% and the state's 89.7%, and the best among the district's three high schools — ahead of Terre Haute South Vigo High School (85.6%) and Terre Haute North Vigo High School (80.7%). Chronic absenteeism is also lower than those peers (32.3% versus roughly 42% at each), though it remains nearly double Indiana's 16.7% and has sat flat near 32–34% for four straight years. Nearby out-of-district schools do better on attendance, including Northview High School (15.3%) and Riverton Parke Junior-Senior High School (12.9%).

Test scores are the weaker side of the picture. SAT math proficiency is 12.87% — the lowest in four years and roughly half the state rate — while SAT reading and writing fell from 50.77% to 38.61% in a single year, dropping the school below its own district for the first time. Biology is a bright spot at 35.4%, the highest of the three Vigo County high schools.
