In 2025–26 it ranked 183rd of 415 Indiana high schools (56th percentile, 3 stars), well above its district's 28th percentile and ahead of every other Vigo County high school — West Vigo High School (29th percentile), Terre Haute North Vigo High School (43rd) and Booker T Washington Alt School (2nd). It has held a 3-star rating since at least 2020–21.

Academically the picture is uneven. SAT ERW is a relative strength: 52.31% in 2025–26, above the district's 46.25% and slightly above the state's 51.9%, and ahead of nearly every nearby school except South Vermillion High School (60.92%). Special needs class needs revamped. My student has gone backwards in learning skills. When you have problems with aides, the school personnel sweeps the problems under carpet per say. If you are fully involved with your child’s education, and don’t use the school as a day care, you will be bumping heads with personnel, lied too, and everything you can think of. Close Quote
