Open Quote Halfway through my son's 9th grade year at Riverwood and we are very pleased. We moved into the district for the school and can now say it was a good decision. I am very impressed with Principal Dr. Shaw who appears to be on top of everything and promotes excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts equally. We just attended the school musical and I was blown away - it was outstanding and I forgot I was watching high school kids (and the music was played by the live orchestra from the pit) - very impressed!! My son is happy, has made friends, is challenged academically, and is finding his crowd through sports and activities. Construction has started on the new school building and we're excited to see the new school come up out of the ground. Great Job and Thank you Riverwood! Close Quote

Open Quote Riverwood is an amazing high school. The students seem truly happy and those who strive... really thrive. The Administration is phenomenal and has created an air of respect -- for the students and from the students -- that is evident the moment you enter the building. The IB curriculum is world-renowned and students who take advantage of that program are fully prepared for successful college careers and beyond. But it's the student body that makes Riverwood special. The true diversity of the population allows each student to learn from and about each other. It's real-world and it works. Riverwood will be getting a brand new building in the next few years and that will really boost the program even further. Great arts, athletics and extra curriculars make Riverwood a truly special place for students and their families. I have a graduate of Riverwood, one who will graduate next year and one who will matriculate next year. We could send our students anywhere, but chose Riverwood and couldn't be happier.
