Open Quote Excellent school, my son is now entering his third year. He loves the teachers and they are willing to help and work with students. School is entering the final stages of a major renovation. I highly recommend Wheeler High School. Close Quote

Open Quote STEM Magnet Program has been fantastic for my children...teachers are fabulous in all disciplines (not just Math and Science), opportunities to take many science and math courses with block scheduling, students attending Magnet by and large are hard working and very motivated to do well. They are also supportive of fellow students. Seniors in the program complete an Internship in a field of their interest - which is unique and hugely beneficial to the students. Truly a great program for highly motivated students. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
