Bernal Intermediate is a public school in San Jose serving grades 7–8, with 675 students in the Oak Grove Elementary district. Its results stand out in the area: among four nearby schools serving the same grades, Bernal ranked second in English language arts (ELA), math, and science. The most important takeaway is that Bernal’s proficiency rates were above California’s in all three subjects in 2025–2026.
