Sylvandale Middle is a 330-student public school serving grades 7–8 in San Jose, California. Its 2025–2026 results show proficiency below both the state and the Franklin-McKinley Elementary district in English language arts (ELA), math, and science. The clearest concern is that Sylvandale was second-lowest among seven nearby schools with comparable results in all three subjects.

Math is Sylvandale’s strongest subject relative to the state and district, while science is its weakest.
