Summary:
Morgan Hill Unified includes 13 schools—eight elementary, two middle and three high schools—serving students from elementary through high school. In 2025–26, the unweighted school averages were 41% in ELA, 33% in math and 31% in science, compared with California’s 49%, 38% and 36%. Because schools serve different grades, these averages are broad comparisons rather than like-for-like measures. The central finding is substantial variation: school results span 54–67 percentage points across subjects.
At the top, Ann Sobrato High led ELA at 67% and science at 54%, respectively 17 and 18 points above the state; Paradise Valley Engineering Academy led math at 57%, 18 points above California. Among elementary schools, Jackson Academy of Music and Math (JAMM) stood out with 65% ELA, 51% math and 53% science. At the bottom overall, Central High (Continuation) reported 0% proficient in all three subjects. Among the other schools, the lowest results were at P. A. Walsh STEAM Academy in ELA (21%), Barrett Elementary in science (12%) and Live Oak High in math (16%).
Year-to-year changes were mixed: the average school result fell 2 points in ELA, was essentially unchanged in math and rose 1 point in science, while the average gap from California widened in all three subjects. Los Paseos Elementary gained 10 points in both math and science, while Live Oak fell 9 points in math. SchoolDigger’s 2025–26 statewide percentiles also show contrasts: Ann Sobrato ranked in the 83rd percentile among high schools and Central in the 0th; JAMM was in the 76th percentile among elementary schools and P. A. Walsh in the 14th. As context, free/reduced lunch eligible (sy 2024–25) ranged from 22% at Nordstrom Elementary to 69% at P. A. Walsh; these figures describe schools but do not explain their results.
