Lake Pleasant Elementary is a large public school in Peoria, Arizona, serving prekindergarten through grade 8, with 1,267 students. It serves a growing northwest Valley area and is the largest of the nearby schools in this comparison. In 2025–2026, its students reached 63% proficiency in English language arts (ELA) and 58% in math, both well above state and district results. The central takeaway is that the school looks strong against broad benchmarks but more mixed alongside nearby schools.

Lake Pleasant’s ELA result was 22 percentage points above Arizona and 19 points above the Peoria Unified School District; its math result was 25 points above the state and 21 above the district. Locally, however, ELA was about even with the nearby-school average, while math was slightly below it: 63% versus about 63% in ELA and 58% versus 59% in math. Results also vary by grade. The reported student-teacher ratio is 21.2, tied for the highest among nearby schools with data, and the school’s only reported free/reduced-lunch rate was 12% in 2022–2023. SchoolDigger’s subgroup measure was notably lower for African American students: the percentile was 56 in 2022–2023, compared with 80 overall. For Special Education students, it shifted sharply from the 79th percentile to the 8th and then the 65th across 2020–2021 through 2022–2023. Subgroup comparison years have varying denominators, so these figures do not explain why the rankings differ or change.
