As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Desert Oasis Elementary is a growing community of students who care about learning and each other. The teachers are top notch! This is one of the most upbeat, positive, friendly schools I have been to. My kids love it! Close Quote

Open Quote We have had all of our children enrolled in this school since we moved into this community 4 years ago. Our children have enjoyed all their teachers and we have been very impressed with the majority of them. All of our children have done very well, earning Principal's List and Honor Roll Awards. The office staff are friendly and helpful and know each of our children well. The school offers a variety of sports and other clubs to be involved in after school, as well as many field trips for all the different grades. We have enjoyed being in a smaller, friendly school where the staff all know your family and value your children. Close Quote

Open Quote I went to sign my child up for kindergarten and well was not the best first impression. Counld not understand the lady who helped me. She also was not sure about when we will get to meet the teacher. I asked will we reciecve any information by mail regarding who the teacher will be and was told no. I have to show up to meet the teacher night (which she was not to sure on the date either) in order to figure it out. I do not know how well i am going to like my child attending this school. Also I do not think children should have to wear uniforms. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
