Dysart Unified District

Dysart Unified District has 24 schools: four high schools and 20 schools serving PK–8. In 2025–26 results, the PK–8 schools averaged 46% in English language arts (ELA) and 40% in math, compared with state results of 41% and 33%; high schools averaged 46% and 39%. The most important finding for families is how uneven PK–8 results are: schools range from 28% to 84% in ELA and from 20% to 82% in math.

Freedom Traditional Academy stands out, with 84% proficient in ELA and 82% in math—43 and 49 points above the state, respectively; SchoolDigger ranks it 21st of 900 schools, in the 98th percentile, with five stars. Canyon Ridge School is another strong performer at 70% in ELA and 63% in math, 29 and 30 points above state; it ranks 92nd of 900, in the 90th percentile, with four stars. At the lower end, Riverview School and Thompson Ranch Elementary each have 28% in ELA; their math results are 20% and 21%, respectively. Both schools are below state results in both subjects. Among high schools, Shadow Ridge High School leads with 58% in ELA and 47% in math, and had the highest reported graduation rate, 98%.

SchoolDigger’s average high-school percentile ranking rose from 56 to 63 between 2023–24 and 2025–26, while the PK–8 average slipped from 52 to 51; individual PK–8 schools moved in different directions, including a 15-point gain for Countryside Elementary School and an 18-point decline for Ashton Ranch Middle School. These are changes in SchoolDigger percentiles, not proficiency scores, and free/reduced-lunch figures are unavailable. School size and student–teacher ratios do not provide a simple guide to results: Freedom has 529 students and a ratio of 18.2, while Riverview has a similar ratio of 18.0 but much lower scores. Results can also vary by subject and grade: West Point Elementary School has 41% in all-grades ELA but 27% in math, below the state’s 33%.
