View ranked 116th out of 166 Alaska elementary schools, placing it in the 30th percentile and earning 2 stars. This is a modest improvement over the prior year's low ranking, but the school remains in the lower third of elementary schools statewide and has not yet returned to its stronger performance from earlier in the decade.

Academically, Mt. View shows a mixed picture across subjects. English language arts proficiency is a challenge, particularly in 3rd grade where just 22.2% of students tested proficient, compared to 33.7% in the district. However, there is a clear upward progression, with 5th grade ELA proficiency reaching 40.3%, which is actually above the state average. Math tells a different story: proficiency stays flat across grades 3, 4, and 5 at around 34%, and by 5th grade the school falls more than 10 points behind the district average.
