As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I think that the best thing happened to my third grade son is getting admitted into this school. He always struggled in reading since kindergarten but never found any noticeable improvement in him. But with in 2 months in Swanson he is reading much better and I am very happy and confident that he will get better grades in reading hearafter. Teachers are awesome and responds to my queries ASAP. Open Quote My daughter transferred to Swanson from a private Catholic school when we moved into the Elmbrook district. I have heard so many good things about the schools, that I wanted to give it a try. Well, it paid off plus some!
Turns out my daughter (having 2 years of full time k4 and k5 education) was behind in reading and math compared to the other students. She has made progress, but she needs further resources that the school has offered. Compared to her previous school the curriculums were so different! I never expected there to be such a significant difference considering private schools have reputations for providing excellent education. Not to mention the private school she attended was one of the best in Milwaukee.
Well, my daughter brings home homework every day (in first grade) and it is much more advanced then my first grade homework ever was. I am nothing but impressed. We decided to transfer her sister who attends K4 at the private school to Swanson in the fall for kindergarten.
I feel this school deserves a much higher ranking than it has because of the exceptional education the school provides. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
