Ness Elementary is a public K–5 school serving 243 students in Spokane’s East Cataldo area at 9612 E. Cataldo, within the West Valley School District (Spokane). The school has a three-star rating and ranked in the 57th statewide percentile for 2025–26, placing it in the solid middle-to-upper-middle range among Washington elementary schools. Its long-term standing has improved substantially from the lower third of the state in the mid-2010s, although its ranking has declined from the 66th–67th percentile range in the previous two years.

Math is Ness’s clearest strength. In 2025–26, 53.91% of students were proficient in math, higher than the district’s 40.38% and Washington’s 43.11%. Ness also had the strongest math result among nearby traditional West Valley schools, ahead of Orchard Center Elementary at 49.53%, Seth Woodard Elementary at 48.82%, and Pasadena Park Elementary at 45.37%.
