South Whidbey’s performance is generally strong compared with the nearby-school group, although those schools vary considerably in size, grade configuration, and student population. Its proficiency rates are about 7.90 points higher in ELA, 8.16 points higher in math, and 9.66 points higher in science than the unweighted nearby-school averages. It ranks below stronger nearby performers such as Eisenhower Middle School, Harbour Pointe Middle School, and Meadowdale Middle School, but ahead of schools including Voyager Middle School, Explorer Middle School, Evergreen Middle School, and Totem Middle School.
