Mount Vernon High School is a large public school serving grades 9–12 in Mount Vernon, Washington, with approximately 1,849 students in a diverse regional community and a relatively high level of student economic need. The school is part of the Mount Vernon School District, which ranks in the 18th percentile statewide, while the high school ranks in the 31st percentile. Nearly six in ten students qualified for free or reduced-price lunch in 2024–25.

Graduation is a clear strength: the four-year rate was 87.7% in 2024–25, above both the district’s 81.1% and Washington’s 82.6%. They have great teachers in the english and science. Thats about it. The students are rude and least interested in school (this is a generalization). The campus is medium small sized. I actually go to this school and I am very focused on my studies. I really wish that there could be a another school for focused student that want to succeed. There is no management fault, the staff do there best and are devoted. I did not mean to offend the school in anyway, i just believe the extra kids cause distractions to the students that want to be successful. Close Quote
