Camas School District serves about 6,869 students across 12 schools in the Camas, Washington area, including six elementary schools, three middle schools, and three high schools serving grades from elementary through high school.

Overall, this is a high-performing district, ranked 15th among 238 Washington districts, or roughly in the 94th percentile. Science is the strongest subject across grade levels, while math is the main area needing attention. Grass Valley Elementary is the district’s top elementary school, ranking 23rd statewide and exceeding 80% proficiency in both English language arts and math. Dorothy Fox has the highest science score, at 91.76%, while Helen Baller Elementary offers consistently strong results across all three subjects. Among middle schools, Skyridge Middle School leads in overall performance, followed by Odyssey Middle School and Liberty Middle School.

At the high school level, Camas High School combines strong academics with the district’s highest graduation rate, 94.4%, and a very low dropout rate. Discovery High School has shown especially strong ranking momentum and currently leads the high schools in math proficiency, although some results are suppressed. Hayes Freedom High School has improved substantially in statewide rankings but remains the district’s main challenge, particularly in math, graduation, and dropout outcomes.
