Kitsap Lake Elementary is a K–5 school in Bremerton, Washington, serving 336 students in a suburban area near several other Bremerton, South Kitsap, and Central Kitsap schools. Current test results are the school’s biggest strength. Kitsap Lake posted proficiency rates of 50.62% in English language arts, 52.17% in math, and 68.89% in science. These results were well above the district averages, especially in math and science. Among nearby traditional Bremerton schools, Crownhill Elementary School was nearly tied in ELA, but Kitsap Lake led it by 8.99 points in math and 15.40 points in science. Kitsap Lake also compared favorably with schools in higher-ranked districts: it exceeded Pinecrest Elementary in all three subjects and outperformed John D. Bud Hawk Elementary at Jackson Park in math. It trailed Sunnyslope Elementary School in ELA and math but had much stronger science results.

Science is especially notable: performance rose from 48.21% in 2023–24 to 68.89% in 2025–26. Math is also strong, particularly in third grade at 60.71%, though results fall to 47.54% in fourth grade and 47.73% in fifth grade. ELA reaches 62.22% in fifth grade but is weaker in third and fourth grades, suggesting useful areas for added focus. The latest statewide ranking declined from the 70th percentile in 2024–25 as ELA and math dipped, but science continued to improve. Overall, Kitsap Lake stands out as one of the stronger conventional elementary schools in its local comparison group.
