Bull Run Elementary is a mid-sized PK–6 school in Centreville, Virginia, serving 766 students as part of Fairfax County Public Schools, one of Virginia's strongest districts. The school earned a 3-star rating and ranked 453rd out of 1,111 elementary schools statewide in 2025-26, a dramatic rebound from the prior year when it ranked 679th. This represents the strongest one-year improvement among nearby schools, with its percentile jumping from 39 to 59.

The upward trend is visible across nearly every subject. Third-grade reading jumped 21 points to 75% proficiency, now above both the district and state averages, and math gains occurred in every tested grade.
