Corner Canyon High is a large public school in Draper, Utah, serving grades 8–12 and enrolling 2,437 students in a suburban area of the Salt Lake Valley. It is part of Canyons District, which ranks 36th among Utah’s 92 districts, while Corner Canyon itself ranks 21st out of 139 Utah schools for 2025–2026, placing it in the state’s 85th percentile. Although its ranking has slipped from 10th in 2023–2024 and 13th in 2024–2025, it remains one of the state’s stronger comprehensive high schools.

The school’s completion outcomes are especially solid. Its 2024–2025 graduation rate was 94.4%, above both the district’s 89.0% and Utah’s 89.8%, while its dropout rate was 4.6%. Corner Canyon also generally outperforms nearby traditional schools academically. In 2025–2026, its proficiency rates were 65.6% in 10th-grade English, 61.4% in 9th-grade English, 47.1% in 10th-grade mathematics, and 57.6% in 9th-grade mathematics. Those results were notably higher than at Alta High and Jordan High. It also exceeded Riverton High in 10th-grade English and mathematics, though Riverton had lower chronic absenteeism.

Mathematics and English are clear strengths, but parents may want to watch recent changes. Tenth-grade mathematics declined from 52.4% to 47.1%, while science dropped sharply, from 54.3% to 41.2% in 10th grade and from 61.2% to 49.4% in 9th grade. Chronic absenteeism was 16.6%—better than Utah’s 23.8% and the district’s 18.8%, but higher than at Riverton and at smaller American Preparatory Academy–Draper #3. Overall, Corner Canyon combines strong graduation results, above-average academics, and the resources and opportunities of a very large school, with science and attendance emerging as the main areas to monitor.
