Hilltop Elementary School is the 300-student, grades 3–5 upper-elementary campus of the Beachwood City school district, a suburb on Cleveland's east side whose district ranks 80th of 773 in Ohio (90th percentile). Hilltop still scores above the state average in every subject and grade reported for 2025-2026, and it has the smallest classes in this comparison group at 11.8 students per teacher. Because Beachwood's other elementary, Bryden Elementary School (K–2), feeds into Hilltop, Hilltop's results are effectively the district's tested elementary results.

The story here is the trend, not the current standing. That comparison stings: Millridge, in Mayfield City, beats Hilltop in six of seven tested subjects while spending roughly 30% less per pupil and running 18.8:1 classes, and ranks 22 percentile points higher statewide.
