Summary

Albert Einstein Academy for Letters Arts and Sciences-Ohio is a public charter school located in Strongsville, OH that serves grades KG-12 with 329 students and a student-teacher ratio of around 10-11 students per teacher. The school has experienced fluctuating graduation rates between 68.6% and 81.5% over the past 5 years, as well as high chronic absenteeism rates ranging from 27.2% to 52.3%.

The school's academic performance is a significant concern, with test scores that are significantly lower than state averages across most grade levels and subjects. For example, in 2024-2025, only 26.7% of 5th graders were proficient or better in Science compared to the state average of 63.4%, and only 8.3% of 8th graders were proficient or better in Math compared to the state average of 47.6%. When compared to nearby schools like Garfield Elementary School, Albert Einstein Academy performs much worse across most metrics.

Despite having a relatively low student-teacher ratio, the school does not appear to be translating this into strong academic outcomes for its students. The school also spends less per student ($6,265) compared to many nearby schools, such as Garfield Elementary School ($12,776 per student). Further investigation may be warranted to understand the root causes of the school's underperformance and develop strategies to improve student achievement.

Open Quote My daughter went to the Westlake Ohio location. This school was the worst possible thing I could do for my daughter's education. The teacher's lack control of the classrooms allowing students to be rude and disruptive to the learning of others. They will not remove students for this because they would like them in the classroom learning however it hinders the learni of other students but that is ok. The teachers do not follow my daughters IEP and even the intervention specialist has trouble with it. Some of the teachers children attend this school and they seem to be the favorites. They can walk around doing or saying whatever they want without any consequences. Close Quote
