Summary

Conant Middle High School (H) is a public high school located in Jaffrey, New Hampshire, serving grades 9-12 and part of the Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District. The school has faced significant challenges, with consistently underperforming academic results and a declining statewide ranking over the years.

Conant Middle High School (H) has struggled with low proficiency rates in mathematics and science, significantly trailing the state averages. While the school's reading proficiency has been closer to the state and district levels, its overall academic performance has been a concern. The school's four-year graduation rate is on par with the state average, but its dropout rate has been higher. Notably, the school's performance on standardized tests has been particularly low for female, male, and white student subgroups, ranking in the bottom half of New Hampshire high schools.

Compared to nearby high schools, such as Milford High School, Keene High School, and Conval Regional High School, Conant Middle High School (H) performs significantly worse across various metrics, including academic achievement and statewide rankings. The school's location within a lower-ranked school district and the higher proportion of students from lower-income families may be contributing factors to its underperformance.

Open Quote After Graduating from Conant, I realized how useful my high school eduaction has been for me. I am now attending college and majoring in English and Secondary Ed. I felt coming into college that I was more prepared than the majority of my classmates and now I am on the college honor society and my school's specific honors program. I owe some of my success to hard work, and a lot of it to the teachers and peers at Conant High School who supported me, and pushed me to be the best I was able to be. Close Quote
