Open Quote They can’t keep teachers. All the good ones leave after a year. Principal Gorksi gave the board no option but to stay closed during Covid because she wouldn’t hire subs and let the teachers stay home without a question.
Unprofessional and understaffed school. Close Quote

Open Quote Excellent! The principal, teachers and staff are all so wonderful, kind and helpful. Communication is top-notch! I’m truly impressed by their level of grace and organization during this virtual learning stage. They’ve made it a smooth, easy and pleasant transition for all of us, especially my kindergartener! We couldn’t be happier so far! Close Quote

Open Quote Our overall experience in Rolesville Charter middle school was bad enough we changed our son’s school in the middle of the school year in our second year. Curriculum seems to be lacking behind public schools. The school teaches moral focus in elementary school but I don’t think they teach it in middle school where the kids would definitely benefit from it because lot of them seem disrespectful and disruptive in class. The behavioral chart is a joke. Teachers seem busy writing kids up for every little thing, many times even for things they didn’t do, and being put in yellow or blue on the behavioral chart has no effect on middle schoolers. Discipline is lacking, teachers seem burnt out, and the dean seems to focus on punishments instead of resolutions. He seems busy watching kids on cameras and calling kids in his office with no real effect or student behavior improvement. Middle schoolers seem to be treated like little kids at this school, teachers and dean hovering over them waiting for them to do wrong to then “discipline” them instead of teaching them personal responsibility and accountability.
